My Community sheild review

First off i just want to say well done to Manchester United for beating the money men of City yet again .

Well today's game could be said to have been a game of two halves but it would actually be a dis service to united as i thought they bossed the entire match . city had about 10- 15mins in the entire match , other than that united played them off the pitch and yet again showed that they are the team to beat for the up coming season .

it wasn't all great as we conceeded two sloppy goals that could have been avoided but at least we blooded lots of young new players and they seemed to have passed their first big test .

DE GEA : i will start off by saying his distribution was world class and he also made some decent saves during the match , but this game will be remembered for the poor 2nd goal he conceeded . he is young and has great potential but old trafford is a very unforgiving place for goalkeepers and many more of these mistakes won't be tolerated by the fans or the manager  6.5/ 10

SMALLING : my man of the match , outstanding in defence all game , looked confortable going down the wing and linked up very well with nani . scored a good header and looked full of energy for the entire 90 , had a wonderful attitude for what is usually only a showpiece game 9/10

VIDIC:  solid yet again , its what we come to expect from our captain . 7/10

FERDINAND: another decent game for rio ,  7/10

EVRA: quiet enough game , but solid , gave away a needless free that city scord from , but also linked up well with new boy young on the left wing 7/10

ANDERSON: he had a wonderful game in midfield , did the simple things well and kept looking for the ball all game . would like to see him shoot a bit more when he get the ball at the edge of the box but other than that he was immense 8/10

CARRICK: another player who had a quiet game , 6.5/10

YOUNG: decent debut for young , did some very good thing during the game and the more games he plays in a red shirt , he will only get better 7/10

NANI: 2 goals and soo much more from him all game , unlucky not to have won my man of the match 9/10

ROONEY: solid game , was better in the 2nd half when he dropped off the front  7.5/10

WELLBECK: great game for danny , never stopped running always putting city players under pressure . his work rate and attitude was top notch and i'm looking forward to seeing more from him this year 8/10

JONES: solid display on his debut , you can see why sir alex wanted him and at 19 the sky is the limit for him 7/10

EVANS: did a great job today after having an off season last year , looks to be coming back to the form we know he can produce. some great forward runs also 7/10

CLERVERLY: outstanding job in midfield and with his performance might have stopped all the transfer talk of wesley coming to old trafford. got stuck in and didn't look out of place against vastly more experienced players 7.5/10

DE SILVA and BERBATOV didn't do much for the time they had on the pitch

overall a very encouraging display and already we look like we are going to hit the ground running for the new season
