Everton's Marouane Fellaini could miss Sunday's tie against Manchester United according to reports. The influential midfielder apparently sustained a knock on his hip last weekend during his side's 3-3 draw with Aston Villa, a match in which he bagged a brace. The Belgian international was expected to feature for his country in a midweek friendly against Slovakia, however, he hasn't trained with them this week and he's now a doubt for that match.
If Fellaini were to miss Sunday's clash at Old Trafford, that would obviously be a massive blow to Everton as they are arguably overly reliant on the big-haired Belgian. During the reverse fixture at Goodison Park on the Premier League's opening weekend, the physical midfielder was dominant as he clearly overwhelmed United's defense. Michael Carrick, normally a central-midfielder, was deployed in a central-defender's role that night due to a plethora of injuries and the Toffees did well to continually isolate Fellaini on him. The Everton talisman had all sorts of joy against the Reds as he put in a man-of-the-match performance in his side's 1-0 victory.
