Ok, I will start of by mentioning the fact that since I've been a Manchester United fan never have the team looked more needy of creativity and spark. Carrick is barely holding it out together, Giggs is forever young and Kagawa used out of position. Don't even get me started on how pathetic Cleverley and Anderson look when they play. It is simply sad. Back in the days of Scholes and Keane, guys like Cleverley wouldn't even make the bench, yet start for a club like Manchester United.
Now, watching how pathetic we looked throughout the summer transfer window, I only have one question: Why is Manchester United not bidding for Luiz Gustavo and Eriksen? Luiz Gustavo is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, soon to be a world champion if you ask me. His only flaw is being in a team with Martinez and Schweinsteiger. So why haven't our team even put an offer for him, giving the fact that we need a DM badly and that he is for sale for a price of 15 million? It is beyond me.
Another player is Eriksen, a creative midfielder that almost destroyed us when we met Ajax in Europa League two season ago. And he was 19 back then. Now he is 21, he is the best player playing in Eredivisie and not only that, but he has one year left on his contract and Ajax are asking around 15 million for him. How in the God's name we haven't put on offer for him yet is insanely annoying. The lad is an international player, soon to be captain of Danemark. It is ridiculous. We are whining about Fabregas when the best players are reportedly on their ways to Arsenal and Tottenham for a reduced fee.
We can have them both in for around 30 million. That's less than what we are offering for Fabregas, and believe me, Gustavo and Eriksen will make the difference in the short run and especially in the long run. They are both smart, they have Champions League experience (one of the won it) and they can both handle the ball extremely well. We get power and pace but most of all, we get talent.
