Manchester United contact Mesut Ozil, player wants to join

Manchester United have contacted Mesut Ozil about a possible transfer, according to Sky Sports News.

Manchester United have made contact with Real Madrid about a move for Mesut Ozil, according to Sky Sports News.

The German midfielder was close to joining United when he initially moved to Spain from Werder Bremen, and with Arsenal having reportedly failed to secure his signing earlier today, it seems he could be set to join United after the  club contacted Real Madrid.

In addition, Graham Hunter earlier mentioned to TalkSPORT that the player would be very interested in joining United.

While this may explain putting the Herrera deal on the backburner, the caveat is that Ozil is not exactly ideal for United. But as a simply world class player, those considerations can be put to one side for now. This would be a huge deal for the club, and give us an immediate injection of pure creativity that we've been lacking for a long time. Things are gettinv very interesting indeed....
