We don't want to count our chickens before they're hatched, or take a "phew! well, that looked dodgy for a minute there, eh?" but it seems that things are starting to move. We've had reports of Ander Herrera paying his release clause and Manchester United representatives at the Spanish league headquarters, and now it seems that something is materialising on the Fellaini front.
We're probably overpaying for both deals, but quite frankly if you care about that given our vast resources and how long we've lacked a midfield, then you should probably rethink your priorities. The deals could still go right to the wire, or fall through, but it looks like we may actually be beginning to do something here.
Tomorrow, friends, could be the first day of the rest of our lives. Or the last.
