As the search for the new Manchester United manager begins, Borussia Dortmund have dismissed rumours that their manager Jurgen Klopp will be making the move to Old Trafford. Speaking to ESPN FC, BVB director of communication reiterated that Klopp will stay "until 2018 -- no ifs or buts".
Klopp already dismissed rumours linking him to Barcelona on our official homepage on Saturday. We've already had this last year, but that's final, even if some people don't want to believe it.
According to the Telegraph's Mark Ogden — whose sources have been pretty solid throughout most of this pantomime — United will not be pursuing Klopp. Given that his reputation and achievements would make him a near-compulsory presence on any shortlist, this can only presumably be because the club have been made aware that any approach would fail. Sorry, hipsters; sorry Shinji. This one's not looking good.
