Ashley Young is at left-back to face Real Madrid. That's pretty much all you need to know about tonight.
United have been doing pretty well under Van Gaal, but it's a huge step up to face the attacking riches of Real Madrid, even if Cristiano Ronaldo won't be playing, which is good news for Young. The bad news is that James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos all will be in action.
The only thing of note is that Michael Keane is inserted into the defence, alongside Phil Jones and Jonny Evans. A huge test for the youngster. Evans, incidentally, was also suggested in the press this week as Van Gaal's potential captain. TBB would be very much on board with that selection.
Oh, and the winner of this game is very likely to be playing Liverpool in the final. Please get us there, Louis.
So, the team then:
Manchester United starting lineup: David de Gea; Michael Keane, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans; Antonio Valencia, Ander Herrera, Darren Fletcher, Ashley Young; Juan Mata; Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck.
