Marcos Rojo's move to Manchester United is officially official, with the Argentine defender having signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford. He will wear the number five shirt, picking up where Rio Ferdinand left off after departing on a free transfer earlier this summer.

Unsurprisingly, Rojo also took the opportunity to flirt with the fans, describing his move to "the world's biggest club" as a "dream":
#mufc confirm signing of Rojo for 20m euros. Rojo: To have the chance to play for the world’s biggest club is a dream

Rojo: I'm young & very keen to continue to learn, so playing for such an experienced technical coach as LvG is a fantastic opportunity #MUFC

And Louis van Gaal took the opportunity to join in the mutual backslapping, too:
LVG on Rojo: Marcos is a v gifted defender. He's played at the highest level in world football & can play as central defender or left back.

LVG: He had a very strong World Cup and has been playing in Europe for a couple of years now. He is a very good addition to the team #MUFC
