Due to being in the process of moving, I was not able to watch Manchester United's 1-0 victory over Everton FC. Going by the stats, it appears that United controlled possession (60%-40%) and had more goal-scoring chances (21 shots - 5 shots). I loved seeing that Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez came up with another huge goal for the club. After a quick glance through the Guardian chalkboards, these few things stood out to me:
* Nani's crossing appeared to be poor from the left-side
* Anderson seemed to have played well. 59 passes completed out an attempted 70 (84%), most of which came high up the pitch in United's attacking third. He also contributed with an interception and 2 tackles won.
* Overall, the attack seemed a bit more balanced than it was versus Newcastle United, where we looked to almost exclusively attack down the right side. Today, the overall passing chalkboard shows that we used Nani and Antonio Valencia somewhat equally.
Anyway, feel free to chime in with your thoughts on today's match in the comments section. I will try to watch the game by weekend's end and provide analysis. In the big picture of things, this was a HUGE 3 points. If we just draw versus Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC in our next two league matches, title #19 is essentially ours!
