HIGHLIGHTS: West Ham United 2-4 Manchester United FC

New, comment

After West Ham United converted two first half penalties to go up 2-0, Manchester United stormed back in the second half to a 2-4 victory behind a hat-trick from Wayne Rooney and a late goal by Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez. Rooney provided the variety pack of goals; a sublime free-kick, a strike from open-play, and a cooly taken penalty. After Arsenal FC's draw with Blackburn Rovers today at the Emirates, Manchester United further extended their lead in the Barclays Premier League to seven points, although the North London side have a game in hand. Next up for United is the first leg of their UEFA Champions League clash with Chelsea FC on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge.
