Manchester United will begin the defense of their Premier League title with a trip to West Bromwich Albion, the first time in the past six seasons that they have been away from Old Trafford on opening day. In the following weeks, tough matches versus Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal FC at Old Trafford await them. United also host Chelsea FC in another early season match-up - if the champions are to repeat, earning positive results versus their likely title-contending rivals will be vital. For the run-in, United face a trip to Eastlands for their derby match with Manchester City, a match versus new-promoted Swansea City at home, and then the finale at the Stadium of Light versus Sunderland.
