Tonight at Old Trafford, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes will be honored with a testimonial match versus the New York Cosmos. The match will also feature the return of another United legend, Eric Cantona, as he is the director of football for the Cosmos - a club that will play their first game in more than 20 years tonight. Much has already been said about Scholesy and his greatness so not much more is needed. However, if you're ever curious, just do an internet search for quotes from the likes of Xavi, Andres Iniesta, and Zinedine Zidane - three of the best players of this generation all rate our midfield maestro amongst the best. Many current and retired footballers sought to play in this testimonial, including Xavi and Iniesta, but the pre-season schedule for many made that impossible. Nonetheless, players such as Fabio Cannavaro, Patrick Viera, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, and others will be suiting up alongside the U-23 Cosmos players.
