Manchester United team news | The away tie at Benfica resulted in no new injuries

The press conference for Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was relatively uneventful -- which is a good thing because he revealed that his squad is relatively healthy ahead of Sunday's clash with perennial title-contending rival Chelsea FC. Here is what the boss had to say in regards to his side's health:

"We came through the Benfica game without any injuries. We have a full squad for Sunday. They're all giving me headaches because the team we have been playing has been outstanding. I've decided not to tinker with that. But Wednesday night was an opportunity to get them all back because we're coming to the time of the season where we have the Champions League, Carling Cup, and the league. We need our squad. Danny Welbeck's back training now. He could be maybe be ready for the following week. Vida's still not ready, Rafa's still not ready. Tom Cleverley will be out for another three week."

The next international break comes after the 1 October league match versus Norwich City. When United return on 15 October to face Liverpool FC at Anfield, perhaps Nemanja Vidic, Cleverley, and Welbeck will all be back by then. It sounds as if the latter may return in time for the trip away to Stoke City on 24 September or for the Champions League clash with FC Basel on 27 September. The young striker, who was in fine form prior to his injury, will likely have to work his way back up to being first-choice after the return of Javier Hernandez (Chicharito). Even Vidic, who is the team's captain, faces some competition after Jonny Evans, Phil Jones, and Chris Smalling have ably deputised in his absence. 

For the Chelsea match, it is likely that Fergie uses a similar lineup that he has for the first four league clashes. This likely means Wayne Rooney in a withdrawn role from Chicharito up top. In the center, Anderson is surely to start after being rested at Lisbon. He will likely be partnered by either Michael Carrick or Ryan Giggs in the center. Out wide, the in-form Ashley Young will likely be deployed on the left flank with Nani on the right -- neither Park Ji-sung nor Antonio Valencia appear sharp enough at the current moment to start such a big league match. In defense, Patrice Evra will start at left-back and Rio Ferdinand at center-back. The other center-back spot is a choice between Evans, Jones, and Smalling. At right-back, the choice will be between Smalling, Jones, and Fabio.

United will almost certainly play in a 4-4-1-1 shape on Sunday. Who would you like to see selected? Who do you think will be selected?
