Lots of rumours floating about today about Borussia Dortmund's Japanese star Shinji Kagawa. German media outlet Bild report that Dortmund have given the attacking midfielder a deadline (Monday) to sign a new deal with the club. His contract is up next summer, which means he might well move this summer in a cut price deal. Here are some quotes from the newly crowned Bundesliga Champions president, Reinhard Rauball.
"The fact is that he has had an offer put in front of him long ago, which raises a few doubts because up until now he hasn't reacted,"
It is a good offer. He won't be getting peanuts at Dortmund.
"There still hasn't been contact from another club. As far as I am concerned, nothing has been decided, although I now have a slight tendency towards scepticism."
Talksport claim Manchester United are set to offer the player a three year deal. There is no doubt that United need reinforcements during the summer, especially in midfield. United certainly lack a creative spark that can ignite an attack through the centre, so these rumours certainly interest me. If these rumours persist and gather more steam, you can look forward to a scouting report from Gene on Kagawa.
