What a finale to last night's game. Two late goals sealed the three points. Both of which were wonderfully taken. And this leads me onto (sort of) the player ratings for the game

A score of 1 being the lowest (Djibril Cisse standard), 10 being the highest (Messi like) A score of 6 will be standard, 7 is solid, a very good game will get an 8, 9 is good for outstanding and 10 is unplayable. 10's will be very rare. Not only will they have to play the game of their life, but it will usually come against a team of good quality or in a big match (Finals, championship deciding game's etc.)

David De Gea - I think Gene mentioned how much confidence he had in De Gea's ability now. I share those sentiments, and when you consider that I trembled with fear whenever I did see his name on the team sheet at the start of the season, it really is a testament to his performances over the last three months. He has been the best keeper in the league over that time. Made a good stop from Hoillet, and a world class save from Ollson. Both at 0-0. 8.5/10

Rafael - A good performance. Two moments stick out in my mind defensively. Nabbing a ball he had no right to win in his own corner and a very solid header in the box when Blackburn had some momentum. Also had a fierce shot saved and supplied the pass for Valencia's goal. 8/10

Rio Ferdinand - What a tackle on Yakubu to stop him scoring. Second half. Time ticking on. Score at 0-0.... He was certain to score before he managed to turn the ball behind. That tackle was of the highest class. 8.5/10

Jonny Evans - Very good once again. Done his job at the back and also caused one or two problems in their box. So consistent. 7.5/10

Patrice Evra - TWO GOOD PERFORMANCES IN A ROW! From Patrice Evra.... Surely not. Provided width on the left, and coupled that with good passing ability. No defensive nightmares either which is a rarity these days for the Frenchmen.... 7.5/10

Antonio Valencia - Always the most likely to get the job done for us in the final third. And he didn't disappoint. he sent in a staggering amount of crosses to no avail, so he had to do it himself. He entered the box and from a tight angle, drove home the ball into the far corner. A sublime goal. I loved how he took the responsibility upon himself. Big players at big moments..... 9/10

Phil Jones - Decent enough. Linked up with Valencia well early on. Tidy enough distribution, worked hard. 6.5/10

Michael Carrick - Very good once again, without stealing the show (Which he never does). Allowed slightly more freedom in the midfield three. Retained possession very well. 7.5/10

Paul Scholes - I seriously am running out of things to say about him. A 97% passing rate, misplacing just two of 76 passes. What a gem he is. Please sign him up for another year Fergie...... 8.5/10

Wayne Rooney - Not fantastic, but good enough. Deployed out on the left but endlessly drifted into the centre to contribute. Linked play and found Hernandez with a wonderful pass early on. But not enough of a goal threat. I feel he would have preferred to play with Welbeck in this particular system. 7/10

Javier Hernandez - Not his day. Hit the post early on, but also dragged one wide too. Passing was off, killing moves at just the wrong time. He was played for his finishing ability, but that let him down. 5/10

Subs

Danny Welbeck - I wasn't impressed to be honest. Once we had got the first, he tried a fancy flick and gave possession straight back to Blackburn. Why..... Just not what we needed at that time 510

Ryan Giggs - Improved from his performance against Fulham, where he was poor. Added a little more guile in the final third. 6.5/10

Ashley Young - About as much as you could wish for from a sub. Grabbed the second with a lovely goal. Brilliant finish. 7.5/10

Team Performance - Despite a lack of a cutting edge, I thought it was a very good performance. Away from home at this stage of the season is always going to be difficult. Blackburn, despite their league position are no mugs either. We controlled the game. We we patient, and we struck when it mattered. 8/10
