It seems as if it is only a matter of time now before Manchester United announce the signing of Shinji Kagawa. It has been widely reported that we are interested in him, and now that Eden Hazard has decided he wants to play under 4 different managers next season at Chelsea, surely Kagawa will become a Red Devil sooner rather than later.
The price will be a good one from our prospective. £7M is probably a little shy, but I think you can expect something in the region of £13M-£17M. However the chances are that when the move is confirmed, the clubs won't disclose the transfer fee. Rather, we will have to rely on various sources.
The more this "saga" has gone n, the more I like this. He is a versatile player. Seems to be a very decent finisher. Lots of pace. Hopefully he can ignite the kind of counter attacks that our play was missing at the back end of the season. I think he and Rooney will get on like a house on fire on the pitch.
With many outlets reporting that deal is ever so close to being made, here are some links, the first of which is Gene's excellent analysis from a few weeks ago
