Manchester United endured mixed fortunes in the month of April. A win at Blakburn Rovers and two home victories at home to Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers helped our title charge. But a draw at home to Everton and losses at Wigan Athletic and Manchester City seemd to have derailed it.

This led to some very good individual performances that may have been forgotton amid the dissapointments. So let me try and rejog your memory and celebrate those players that did themselves proud in the month of April

Wayne Rooney - Has not been at his best, yet has continued to score a lot of goals. Five of them in six games. So despite his poor touch that he has been showing, the fact that he did not shy away and still bagged what matters most impressed me.

Ashley Young - Recieved a lot of flack for winning two penalties against QPR and Villa. Scored once but put in some very decent displays

Danny Welbeck - His performances against Villa and Everton alone means he is a must for this list. The goal he scored against Everton was stunning. His fantastic partnership with Rooney was on show for the world to see that day too, as Rooney's second goal brough back memories of Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole.

Antonio Valencia - The way he ripped through Blackburn to score the opener was wonderful. A really rip roaring goal. Maybe not quite as good as previous months, yet he is so consistant with his service from wide right. Should count himself as a little unfortunate to be dropped for the derby.

Paul Scholes - Put in a couple of really great displays against QPR (A game he scored in) and Villa. The latter of which came after he was dropped for the Wigan loss where we dearly missed him.

There you go. Who do you think deserves the nod? More importantly, who do you believe I have missed out, if any?
