With the title all but conceded after Manchester CIty beat Newcastle United 2-0, Manchester United needed goals against Swansea City. However they only managed two. Lets all hope QPR pull off a massive upset next week. In the meantime, indulge yourself in these ratings for the Swansea game.

A score of 1 being the lowest (Fernando Torres standard.... Oh wait, what has the world come too, I can't even use Torres for a guidline of 1 - standard), 10 being the highest (Messi like) A score of 6 will be standard, 7 is solid, a very good game will get an 8, 9 is good for outstanding and 10 is unplayable. 10's will be very rare. Not only will they have to play the game of their life, but it will usually come against a team of good quality or in a big match (Finals, championship deciding game's etc.)

David De Gea - Done what he had too. A little shaky on a shot from Gylfi Sigurdsson in the second half, where the ball bounced awkwardly. Not tested with any high balls into the box, and distributed the ball nicely.6.5/10

Phil Jones - Decent game. Got forward well and done his job on defense. Very able with short passing, but he really needs to work on his crossing which at times can be woeful. 6.5/10

Chris Smalling - The only thing he has done wrong in 180 minutes of football was not mark his man well at a corner. Very good game. Reads the game well and can command his area. 7.5/10

Rio Ferdinand - Distributed the ball very well and pressed high up the pitch when we needed goals. Would like to see him do more of that actually. He usually is the deepest defender when we have possession so the midfield and wide defenders have an outlet. Would prefer him to just step up just a tad more and use his fantastic talent on the ball. 7/10

Patrice Evra - Still gets skinned too often one on one. Yet he and Young links up very well down the left. Evra's ability going forward has never been in doubt, even when his defensive qualities have been lacking this season. 7/10

Antonio Valenica - Mis-cued a couple of crosses, but not before he had tee'd up Carrick to feed Scholes. Not much more to add really. He was his usual consistent self on the right hand side. You know what to expect with Tony V. 7.5/10

Paul Scholes - Fantastic. After a couple of off colour performances he was back to his best. I for one thought Swansea's possession game may stifle our own possession game. Yet Scholes and his midfield partner dictated the match. Lovely finish for the opener. 8.5/10

Micheal Carrick - You know what you are getting from Micheal Carrick. He will win the ball, play it simply and accurately. A really under appreciated cog of the United engine room. I have been one of the many that under appreciated him before this season. 8/10

Ashley Young - Fantastic all game. Maybe wrongly denied a penalty (Perhaps that reputation he has "built" went against him). Scored a lovely finish, and created many a chance from crosses. 21 of them he delivered. That is a fantastic amount. Works hard and does the dirty workd down the left too. 9/10..... Should have had about 6 assists, but due to poor finishing from....

Javier Hernandez - Young did not get the assists his performance he deserved. Im sure Hernandez will be very disappointed with his lack of goals on Sunday. He had plenty of chances yet spurned all of them. Granted, a lot of them were sharp chances, but you would think a poacher of his quality would take at least one or two of them. And when Chicarito misses chances, he tends to have a woeful game due to his lack of an all round game. This was no exception im afraid. Will love it when he starts banging them in next season however 3.5/10

Wayne Rooney - Has been banging in goals of late, without looking at his fluent best in other areas of the pitch. On Sunday, I thought he was brilliant in build up play, yet he scored no goals. Can't wait until he blends both games into fantastic performances next season.... 7/10

Subs

Tom Cleverley - Ran the game well when he came on. Didn't misplace a pass. Almost got on the end of a delightful pass from Berbatov to score his first United goal. If he stays injury free next season I cannot wait to see him dominate games. 6.5/10

Dimitar Berbatov - The only thing I remember him doing was the pass to Cleverley. 6/10

Rafael - Came on for the injured Rio. Not enough time to impact the game. N/a

Team Performance - Decent under the circumstances. I know we needed goals, and we only got two, yet Swansea are a very decent outfit and we largely dominated the match. 7.5/10
