Nobody should be suprised with this news, as Manchester United have neglected to extend Tomasz Kuszczak's contract. The Pole In Goal (P.I.G) was initially signed on loan in 2006 from West Bromwich Albion, before we turned it permanent the following year. He played 61 games for the club in that period.
Brought in as a number two for Edwin Van Der Sar, he done his job during his time at the club. He recognised he was not going to be number one I think, and knew his place. When he did have to fill in, he was solid. What you need for a number two. I feel we are blessed at the moment as we have two very good keepers in David De Gea and Anders Lindegaard, along with Ben Amos, who signed a new three year deal this week. While being on the clubs books, last year he did not make a single appearance for the club, and I only remember one time when he was on the bench. That was when Ben Amos made his single Premier League appearance against Stoke when the number one and two was ruled out with injury. He spent a small period of time at Watford at the end of the season on loan.
The Busby Babe wishes Tomasz the bets of luck at his new club. (Provided he does not join Liverpool). P.I.G joins Micheal Owen, who was the other member of the first team to be released.
