This is a nice story from ManUnited.com
, and well deserved in my eyes. Ecuardorian winger Antonio Valencia has bagged the coveted number 7 shirt, after Micheal Owen departed the club.

The numbers for new signings Nick Powell and Shinji Kagawa have also been released. They will wear 25 and 26 respectively. Not surprising that Kagawa has been given a low key number, as he himself turned down the number 7, wanting to take a number of personal meaning, and making it his own, creating his own legacy. That in itself is a humble and classy move from the Japanese attacker.

However I am nothing but pleased for Valencia. He was truly spectacular in the run in last season. Creating chance after chance. He has endured a couple of bad injuries in his time at the club, but has returned each time to make an impact on the season. Fair play to him!
