Patrice Evra has stated that he will not sign a new deal at Manchester United for "personal" reasons.
Evra completely went rogue in a controversial interview where he also took the time to criticise several former French players, most notably Bixente Lizarazu, calling them "tramps" and "parasites."
On the subject of United, Evra stated that "It's not Manchester that don't want me to sign a new contract. This whole thing is personal. Manchester United's dream is that I finish my career there, but this is something personal."
We'd kind of half-expected Evra to leave, particularly amid the rumours of Leighton Baines, but it's a shame to lose him. In the past few months, Evra has inspired France to a victory with a rallying speech, then come out and pretty much said the old French World Cup-winning team weren't fit to lace his boots, before this outburst. And before that there's the whole Luis Suarez situation.
Some people don't love Patrice Evra. I don't understand those people, or the people who understand those people.
