Tell us your favourite Cristiano Ronaldo moment in a United shirt

Cristiano Ronaldo spent a glorious six years at Manchester United, and delighted supporters with many a goal. It is time for you to share your favourite CR7 moment in a United shirt

Alex Livesey

We are only a number of hours away from when one of Manchester United's most celebrated sons dons a Real Madrid shirt to face his former employer. Cristiano Ronaldo transcended the English game during his time here and he's quite possibly the greatest player the Premier League has ever seen.

He won three Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups. The highlight is without doubt when he helped us win the third European Cup in the club's history. Although he missed in the penalty shoot out against Chelsea, it was his header that had given us the lead in the first half. His exploits in the whole of the 2007-08 season was outstanding -- 42 goals in 49 appearances. That doesn't look like a lot compared to his and Lionel Messi's recent achievements, but that is more due to both of them being on an entirely different level now.

All in all, Ronaldo scored 118 goals for the Red Devils. He had the predatory instincts of a Ruud Van Nistelrooy that led to numerous goals from within the 18 yard box. His ability in the air was fantastic, scoring many with his head. What most impressed me about these goals was the desire he had to get on the end of crosses. You kind of wish David de Gea had that kind of fire in to come and claim high balls.... He could hurt you from anywhere within forty yards with his cannon of a right foot. His left foot is almost every bit as good too. His free kicks were iconic, creating a new way to hit them so they veered off in every direction, giving goalkeepers nightmares. Pace, trickery, close control, and strength rarely seen from a wide player. He could go outside, inside or on occasion right though the defender. The amount of ways he could hurt a team meant he had the freedom of the pitch, often deserting his right wing to find space. This meant he was dangerous from counter attacks, of which United scored some spectacular goals from, and this is a big danger for us come Wednesday night.

All United goals are found in this video from Youtube. If you have a spare forty five minutes, let this put a smile on your face

So what is your favourite CR7 moment? A goal? A piece of skill?

Mine is the Porto goal in his final season. Numero 113. Picked it up a country mile away from goal. After a couple of steps he unleashes hell from his right boot. The ball sails past the keeper at a billion MPH.

When you see him shaping to shoot your thinking, not even you can score that! But my word..... Even now watching it, I am speechless. It defies description

I said earlier if you watch that video you will have a smile on myself. The prospect of facing that beast almost needs me changing my boxers.... Good luck Rafael....

What moment of CR7 are you most fond of?
