Shinji Kagawa started for Japan against Italy in the Confederations Cup, and the Manchester United midfielder showed his class by scoring this great effort to put Japan 2-0 up over the Italians.
Kagawa's been heavily involved as you'd expect for Japan, so he may well have a few more highlights by the time this is over. Stay tuned to the site, as we'll have a review post of his antics up afterwards.
Hopefully, Kagawa's set to improve on his mixed first season at United - the introduction of a more solid midfield should see us move the ball a little bit quicker to help him do what he does best. He's always had more of an eye for a goal than a pass, although of course he can do either. But the fact he can bring so many goals from midfield is something we've been sorely lacking in recent years. Tonight was another example of how he can bring that to the team.
