David Moyes names Phil Jones and Antonio Valencia in his first Premier League squad in charge of Manchester United as they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Phil Jones appears to replace Rafael at right-back due to the latter's injury, which is something of a disappointment - the former Blackburn defender had a poor game there in the Community Shield, and Fabio seemed a better bet to take his brother's place.

It's not entirely certain what formation United are playing in - it's been listed as a 4-4-2, but given our selections so far under Moyes, a 4-3-3, with Ryan Giggs in central midfield, seems far likelier. That means Danny Welbeck will play on the left, while Antonio Valencia will be on the right, with Robin van Persie obviously up front.

The exclusion of Shinji Kagawa is understandable given his difficult pre-season, but one big name on the bench is that of Wayne Rooney. Now that could be interesting...

As for our opponents, Michu starts up front, while perhaps thankfully and surprisingly, Wilfried Bony is on the bench.

Manchester United starting line-up (4-5-1): David De Gea; Phil Jones, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra; Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Ryan Giggs, Danny Welbeck; Robin van Persie. Subs: Anders Lindegaard, Anderson, Wilfried Zaha, Chris Smalling, Fabio, Shinji Kagawa, Wayne Rooney.

Swansea City starting line-up (4-5-1): Michel Vorm, Angel Rangel, Chico Flores, Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Leon Britton, Jose Canas, Jonjo Shelvey, Nathan Dyer, Wayne Routledge, Michu
