Chelsea have accepted a bid of £37m for Juan Mata from Manchester United, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.
The report states that Chelsea have finally been moved to allow the player to leave, and that Mata will have a medical at United tomorrow, completing his move later in the day.
They also claim that United will double Mata's £70,000 per week wages.
I think this is hopefully something we can all get behind and enjoy. Suddenly fourth place looks a lot, lot closer than it did at the start of the week. It might not be ideal, it might not solve our defensive and midfield problems, but it should certainly give us a huge spark of creativity and a morale boost.
