It's done. Manchester United have announced the signing of Juan Mata from Chelsea for "a club-record fee", subject to a medical and personal terms.
The latter two parts will be a formality now the two clubs have reached an agreement, so Mata is officially a United player. Which, I think we can safely say, is good news and a relief for all involved.
That also means he could well be registered in time for the game against Cardiff City, which should give us a nice edge going into that game.
So, the club now has a new record, which should be about £37,000,000. We'll also reportedly be paying Mata around £140,000 a week, although that's some way short of our top two earners, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
