The FA Cup is probably David Moyes' best chance of silverware in his first season as Manchester United manager, but nonetheless the Scot has sent out a weakened team to face Swansea City.
Anders Lindegaard, an out-of-position Chris Smalling, Rio Ferdinand and Alexander Buttner make up a truly terrifying back five along with Jonny Evans. Darren Fletcher is thankfully in midfield, but Shinji Kagawa starts on the left, while Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez are strike partners up front.
It seems a bizarre choice to rest players for a competition it would be lovely to win - we haven't for some time now - and Moyes could really do with. Swansea haven't rested anywhere near as many players, so this could be a tough one.
Manchester United starting lineup: Anders Lindegaard; Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, Alexander Büttner; Antonio Valencia, Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverley, Shinji Kagawa; Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez.
Subs: David De Gea, Fabio, Anderson, Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs, Wilfried Zaha, Adnan Januzaj.
Swansea City starting lineup: Tremmel, Tiendalli, Amat, Chico Flores, Taylor, Britton, de Guzman, Shelvey, Pozuelo, Routledge, Bony.
