Welcome to the Busby Babe, SB Nation Soccer's Manchester United injury blog. If you're looking for news on injuries, you've come to right place, for we write about nothing else. Who has them? Who doesn't? Who might get them soon?
Today, we're starting with a bang. Or, if you like, an ANG ... el di Maria, for the Argentine dervish will not play on Monday night against Southampton. Speaking after last night's win over Stoke City, Louis van Gaal told the press that:
Di María is not so heavy but, of course, he shall not play against Southampton. But you never know.
We think the "not so heavy" there refers to his hamstring injury rather than his weight, though he is a scrawny little thing. Anyway, we're not done there! Oh no. Wayne Rooney is having a scan right now on his hurty knee, and we should find out what's going on there very soon. And Daley Blind might be back in time for Christmas, as long as you've all been good boys and girls.
