Good news for Manchester United and David Moyes as star set to sign new deal

Manchester United and David Moyes were given some good news as David de Gea was set to sign a new contract at the club, according to reports.

David de Gea will sign a new deal at Manchester United that will keep him at the club until 2018, according to the Daily Mirror.

De Gea's wages will increase to £90,000 as United look to stave off reported interest from the likes of Barcelona. De Gea's current deal expires in just two years time.

Some rare good news then - De Gea has not quite hit the heights of last season so far, but he's still been a consistently good performer when we've had far too few of them. His only notable big error was the goal against Sunderland, although he did partly redeem himself in the shootout, even if his teammates couldn't do him justice.
