The biggest selection news for Manchester United's lunchtime game with Aston Villa is the return of Shinji Kagawa, with Michael Carrick dropping to the bench. Alexander Büttner starts at left-back with Patrice Evra nowhere to be seen -- perhaps having picked up a late injury.

Marouane Fellaini and Darren Fletcher are the central midfield pairing, with Ashley Young and Juan Mata partnering Kagawa behind lone striker Wayne Rooney. We're once again deprived of the out-of-favour Adnan Januzaj, who is benched with Danny Welbeck.

Manchester United confirmed starting lineup: David De Gea; Alexander Büttner, Nemanja Vidić, Phil Jones, Rafael da Silva; Darren Fletcher, Marouane Fellaini; Shinji Kagawa, Juan Mata, Ashley Young; Wayne Rooney.

Subs: Ben Amos, Ryan Giggs, Javier Hernández, Michael Carrick, Luis Nani, Danny Welbeck, Adnan Januzaj.

Aston Villa confirmed starting lineup: Brad Guzan; Ryan Bertrand, Ciaran Clark, Ron Vlaar, Leandro Bacuna; Marc Albrighton, Fabian Delph, Ashley Westwood; Gabriel Agbonlahor, Christian Benteke, Andreas Weimann.
