The return of Marouane Fellaini looked like it could play some part in improving Manchester United's fortunes, with the midfielder playing well in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. Unfortunately, after missing a couple of months with a wrist injury, he's now picked up a back problem:
David Moyes has confirmed @FellainiM suffered a back spasm in midweek. "I've got to check he's okay. It could be a problem."

Hopefully it's nothing too serious and he's back in action quickly -- though reading between the lines it looks unlikely he'll play against West Brom in just under four hours. Given that he's almost certainly United's best midfielder, however underwhelming his start, it's a blow. Not least because it might mean we see the fabled Carrick-Cleverley partnership out again.
Fellaini played the first half of Belgium's 2-2 friendly draw with Ivory Coast on Wednesday, scoring the game's opening goal.
