Manchester United are ahead in the race to sign Luke Shaw, with Mark Ogden of the Telegraph reporting that the club have moved ahead of Chelsea as both clubs attempt to cut a deal.
Ogden has a good record surrounding United-related business, and he reports that concern over a lack of playing time will help convince the youngster to sign for United despite being a boyhood Chelsea fan.
The same article also reports that United are concerned about being able to die up a deal for Toni Kroos (so perhaps we should take any confidence from the club with a heavy pinch of salt) but are "close" to tying up a deal for William Carvalho and are still confident Marco Reus can be signed from Borussia Dortmund.
This all comes despite David Moyes' reportedly tenuous position, with the club moving ahead to get deals for his preferred targets done regardless. Strange, but if you consider the target a no-brainer, why not?
