Manchester United have already made an approach for Borussia Dortmund coach Jürgen Klopp, according to The Independent tonight. In an interesting article which reveals that the Red Devils may have been sounding out managers to replace David Moyes for the last four weeks, Ian Herbert writes:

Klopp is instinctively reluctant to break his contract at Dortmund but United are understood to have approached him, with the Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal also high on the list of possible replacements.

Laurent Blanc and Diego Simeone are also mentioned as potential replacements in the same article, but it seems clear that Klopp is the man Woodward and the Glazers find most appealing.

Given the job he's done in Dortmund, it's little wonder. With his brand of entertaining, quick football and an exciting young team he's established himself as one of the hottest names around at present, recently linked with taking over from Tata Martino at Barcelona.
