Earlier on today the crafty ol' Pep Guardiola announced he was "100 per cent" certain Wayne Rooney would play in Manchester United's Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Bayern Munich on Wednesday. He was so certain, he even bet the assembled journalists a "big big glass of beer."
Fortunately for the press there's quite a lot of beer in Bavaria, and it looks like they'll soon be rolling kegs down to the Allianz Arena. That's after David Moyes announced that Rooney was "happy to take an injection to play" in his pre-match press conference.

Given that he returned to training today it's doubtful that he'll even need an injection to numb his injured toe. But given the option is always there, I'd be as surprised as Pep if we didn't see him tomorrow.
