Adnan Januzaj makes Belgium's World Cup squad

New, comments

Yet another reason to look forward to Brazil 2014.

It was only a matter of weeks ago that Manchester United's resident wunderkind Adnan Januzaj made the choice to play international football for his country of birth, but that hasn't stopped national coach Marc Wilmots deciding to throw him in at the deep end -- or, if you're being really cynical, perhaps a spot on the plane helped him make him opt for Belgium over Albania, Kosovo or wherever else ...

Either way, I can't imagine some of the standby players being too happy with young Januzaj 'coming over here, stealing our spots on the plane,' though in truth, he deserves it. His form for United over the course of the season has been sparkling, and his recent display against Hull City was the pick of the lot. It only makes it more of a shame David Moyes opted to leave him out with such regularity.

He's not a player who's shown any signs of being fazed, and should be able to make the step up to international level without much of a worry. Bring on Brazil ...

For those interested, here's the rest of the squad. Yep, despite his Old Trafford woes, The Afroed One is included:
