Time to take cover behind the sofa - Jaap Stam could be returning to Manchester United.
The Dutchman's name has been floated around in several places, notably the Times, as a potential member of an intriguing-sounding backroom staff that could join in the wake of Louis van Gaal's appointment, who journalists seem convinced will be confirmed as David Moyes' successor next week.
We can also add to that list of potential backroom staff members Patrick Kluivert - who notably rejected Alex Ferguson's advances in the 90s, and Roy Keane - who notably fell out with Alex Ferguson. Jaap Stam, of course, notably fell out with Alex Ferguson.
At present, this backroom staff is starting to resemble Roy Keane's 'United XI' he did recently where he selected an entire team of people who'd rebelled against Ferguson. So, who else is likely to be picked to join the club? A return for John Magnier and JP McManus? The BBC's Panorama team to do video analysis? The possibilities are endless.
