Bebé, Player of the Year

Away from Old Trafford, noted punchline Bebé has had a rather decent season in Portugal.

Michael Regan

We here at the Busby Babe would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Bebé, who has been named both Top Scorer and Player of the Year by his loan club Paços de Ferreira.

Well deserved indeed. This term, Bebé has scored 13 league goals in 26 games, before rounding his season of by scoring the opening goal in Paços' 3-1 relegation play-off victory; a victory that ensures they will remain in the Primeira Liga next season. While the late season rumours of a surprise place in Portugal's squad failed to come to anything, this will nevertheless help the poor lad shake off the stigma of being nothing more than an extremely dodgy piece of business on Manchester United's part.

It might also mean United can pick up a few quid for him. And if you ever need a handy, go-to line to encapsulate 2013/14, this is probably it: of all the players owned by Manchester United, Bebe has had by some distance the best season.
