Young striker Ángelo Henriquez has joined Dinamo Zagreb on loan from Manchester United. The 20-year-old Chilean will spend the season in the Croatian capital, and will wear the No. 9 shirt. It's not entirely clear whether Dinamo have an option to buy at the end of the season: Twitter seems to think so, but none of the papers are mentioning it.
Speaking to his new club's website, Henriquez said:
I am happy with my arrival at Dinamo, with whom I want to do good things. I have a lot of motivation and I want to prove myself and I believe Dinamo is a great club for it. I am delighted to have joined Dinamo and I really want to make an impact here, primarily to help the club qualify for the Europa League group stage. This is the right club for me at this stage of my career.
Henriquez joined United two years ago, having established himself in Jorge Sampaoli's exciting Universidad de Chile side during the 2011/12 season. He spent part of his first season on loan at Wigan Athletic, where he scored one goal in eight appearances. He played last season with Real Zaragoza in the Spanish second division, scoring six goals in 25 games.
