Manchester United's RonaldoLite (or RonaldoVeryVeryLite), Nani, has been enjoying an excellent season on loan at Sporting Lisbon. Indeed, he's been so good that the Louis van Gaal is apparently interested in bringing him back into the Reds' first team. Quoted in the Manchester Evening News, the 28-year-old, whose contract at Old Trafford doesn't yet expire for another three years, said United "know my value and I know they want me to stay."

This scenario is quite a strange one. Nani has certainly been playing well away in Portugal, but that's altogether different to giving him another shot in the Premier League. The case for the opposition points to the fact that time has proven him to be a player capable of singular moments of brilliance, but he never quite had the consistency to really establish himself as one of United's most instrumental players. It won't be long before he starts declining physically, and so wouldn't it be preferable that van Gaal gave some gametime to Adnan Januzaj, rather than trying to shoehorn an ageing veteran back in?

On the other hand, he's almost certainly more dangerous than Antonio Valencia ...
