Well, it could have been a lot worse. In today's draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup, the Cambridge United/Manchester United draw avoided Liverpool, Arsenal and the rest of the Premier League. Instead, should United overcome their opponents in the replay, it's off to League One.
The winner will play either Preston North End or Sheffield United, in what has every chance of being another fairly tricky tie. Preston are in pretty decent nick this season, and currently sit in the playoff positions, while Sheffield United have in recent years cultivated a pretty decent collection of cup results. Last season, Nigel Clough's team reached the semi-finals, knocking out Fulham and Aston Villa, while this season they've reached the semis of the League Cup. Currently they're tied 1-1 with Tottenham after the first leg.
As for that replay, it's been confirmed for Tuesday 3 February, to kick off at 19:45 UK time. Those of you on the right hand side of the Atlantic will be able to watch on BT Sport, should you have access to the channel and the patience to deal with Robbie Savage.
