Oh happy day (oh happy day)
Oh happy day (oh happy day)
When Hodgson washed (when Hodgson washed)
When Hodgson washed (when Hodgson washed)
Hodgson washed (when Hodgson washed)
Washed my sins away (oh happy day)
Oh happy day (oh happy day)
Yes, it's international season again, and we could not be more excited. After the trifling business of Sunday's game against some no-marks from north London, the England bandwagon will begin to roll again, and four of Manchester Untied's finest and bravest will be rolling along with it.
Wayne Rooney will be there, obviously, captaining away, trying to nudge his scoring record ever higher. Helping him do so will be Michael Carrick, who we would describe as being "back" if only we could remember whether he is was in the last squad. Let's say he wasn't. Let's say he's back. Also back is Phil Jones, who will be sitting on the bench next to Chris Smalling, watching Phil Jagielka and Gary Cahill and trying not to catch anything too dangerous.
Or maybe not. For England have already qualified and so Roy Hodgson may loosen his tie, kick up his heels and pick an experimental lineup or two. So who knows what could happen? The suspense, quite frankly, is killing us.
