In the Guardian, there's a story that Alex Ferguson is worried about the impact that Jurgen Klopp will have on Liverpool, thinking he could do 'very well'. He had a few excellent seasons at Borussia Dortmund, as well as one hugely disappointing ending, but nevertheless, he's very talented and he could make Liverpool overperform. Now, Ferguson is worried, but it's probably worth remembering, after he appointed David Moyes, that he's hardly the expert on how a manager will perform.

The Telegraph reckon that Louis van Gaal is one of the best paid managers in the league, and have a list of the 10 best paid managers. You can read that here, and its existence probably reinforces the difficulty in generating stuff to actually read during international week.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Van Gaal has lost interest in Marcos Rojo and plans to replace him with Porto's Bruno Martins Indi, who could join this winter. He's played well at left-back this season, including against Chelsea in the Champions League, so would be a handy performer in Luke Shaw's absence. He's expected to play in central defence in the long term. Could he be better than Daley Blind though? Yep!

The Mirror think that Victor Valdes is not even allowed a locker with the United squad, and isn't allowed into first-team training - and is even being kept away from the first team when they come into Carrington at the same times.
