Manuel Pellegrini has suggested that Wayne Rooney could go on for another five years at Manchester United. That's in the Mirror. Given that he's getting picked despite being totally worthless, there's nothing to suggest that he couldn't keep going after he's dead.
In the Telegraph, though, Jim White wonders just how long Louis van Gaal will be able to indulge him. The Sun had an apparently credible story a week or so ago which suggested he is now on borrowed time. It'll be interesting to see what happens after United play today.
