Wayne Rooney will miss the match against Estonia for England with an ankle injury he suffered against Arsenal. Just imagine what a tour de force performance he could have put in had he been fully fit. Had he been at the top of his current form, United might have only lost 3-0 at the weekend. That's in the Telegraph.
Bastian Schweinsteiger is also injured while on international duty, and he missed the match against Ireland for Germany after he suffered a minor thigh injury in the warm-up. He should be fit for the weekend. That story is in the Daily Mail.
The Manchester Evening News are saying that Adnan Januzaj has to use his season on loan at Borussia Dortmund to convince Louis van Gaal he is worth keeping. Which is funny, because Van Gaal has this season to convince fans and the board that he's worth keeping. That is by no means assured.
Lastly, Andy Mitten has written a sensible blog on David Beckham's time at Manchester United and beyond. He seems to think Beckham is lovely, and so do most people who've met him.
