Manchester United have been linked with another wide player today, this time it's Yacine Brahimi of Porto. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about him beyond his name and the club he plays for. The rumour is in the Mirror.
In the Daily Mail, there's a story that Paddy McNair has been warned by international teammate Chris Baird that he should avoid becoming a utility man for United. McNair, on his current showing, would be lucky to be such a thing. Unless there is a great reserve of potential that suddenly surprises us. He seems quite limited and not especially promising - it's hard to see him staying much longer at United, really.
In the Telegraph: "Manchester United still hopeful of signing Neymar". For their sake, you should hope this isn't true. It's an enormous waste of time.
On ESPNFC, little trier Sergio Romero says he's happy to fight for his place at Manchester United. Let's be realistic, it's very hard to see that Romero is anything beside himself with happiness that he's somehow ended up a hamstring twang away from the United first team.
And lastly, in the Manchester Evening News is a story that Antonio Valencia could be action for five months with his foot injury, something which would make defensive reinforcements in the winter far more likely.
