Louis van Gaal has said he expected more from Memphis so far this season. It's fair enough. While few expected him to match the number of goals and assists he got in the Netherlands last season, he's a very exciting talent, and it's therefore surprising to see his decision making being quite so naive at Manchester United. Anyway, he's young, and could be one of the options to play in attack as Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney are both injured. You can read more in the Guardian.

Mark Ogden, in the Telegraph, believes that despite that disappointment, Memphis will indeed start against Watford. Watford aren't a poor side, just a limited one. Without Martial, United lack their best attacking player, and will need Memphis to provide the pace and spark they now lack.

In the Mirror, there's a story about 18-year-old Marcus Rashford, who has been called up by Van Gaal to beef up his attacking options in the squad today, and on the Busby Babe we have Jack Sargeant's match preview.

And on ESPNFC, there's news that Antonio Valencia should be out for around three months after an operation on his foot. Expect Ashley Young or Matteo Darmian to start today.
