Manchester United's poor form, and poor performances, continued as the drew 1-1 with Leicester City in the Premier League at the King Power Stadium.

United started in a 3-5-2 formation after suffering injuries to Jesse Lingard and Marcos Rojo in the days before the match, giving a start to Paddy McNair in central defence alongside Chris Smalling and Daley Blind.

Louis van Gaal chose to partner Michael Carrick with Bastian Schweinsteiger in midfield, and Anthony Martial with Wayne Rooney in attack.

United fell behind to a Jamie Vardy goal as Leicester countered from a United corner, and Schweinsteiger scored an equaliser from a corner in the single added minute in the first half.

On 68 minutes, Memphis replaced Rooney, who had received a kick from Robert Huth and was unable to continue, but although United then saw even more of the ball, they were unable to force a winner as they had done against Watford.
