Manchester United take on CSKA Moscow in the Champions League as they try to remember what scoring a goal feels like.

United have failed to score in each of their last three matches, and are increasingly struggling to create chances. That is partly because Wayne Rooney is the worst player in the Premier League at the moment, but also because Louis van Gaal's approach isolates attackers and prevents players from moving quickly and unpredictably.

United have four points, the same as CSKA, and a win would move them into a safer second place. As it is, qualification is by no means secured, and Van Gaal's job would be at risk should they lose tonight. There would almost certainly be a clause in his contract that makes for an easier sacking should he fail to get into the knockout rounds.

Of the senior players, Morgan Schneiderlin is a doubt, and Luke Shaw is obviously still injured. Rooney will probably continue in attack.
