The teams are out for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Bournemouth, and it doesn't make for particularly pretty reading. The injury to Morgan Schneiderlin (who is benched) and the suspension of Bastian Schweinsteiger has left the Reds with a midfield of Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick, suggesting things could get rather ugly at the Vitality Stadium.
Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal hasn't got over his mysterious problem with Ashley Young, with youngsters Guillermo Varela and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson given the nod either side of Paddy McNair and Daley Blind in defence.
The only area of the field that makes for pretty reading is the attack, where Juan Mata, Memphis Depay, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial all start. There's plenty of talent in that front four, and it'll be interesting to see how it functions as a combination. Hopefully van Gaal hasn't beaten all of the creativity out of them.
United (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Daley Blind, Paddy McNair, Guillermo Varela; Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini; Jesse Lingard, Memphis, Juan Mata; Anthony Martial.
Subs: Sergio Romero, Phil Jones, Ashley Young, Nick Powell, Morgan Schneiderlin, Axel Tuanzebe, Andreas Pereira.
