The Guardian have rated all Manchester United's summer signings, and as you make sense, it doesn't make great reading. There's perhaps not a single player bought this summer who has entirely convinced the fans. Anthony Martial has promise, and is the most exciting of the lot, but it's a lot of trust to put in potential.

A story which is well worth watching, even if Jose Mourinho is now available: Manchester United will battle it out with Manchester City for Pep Guardiola this summer. It seems dangerous to wait until then, so let's hope that they don't drag their heels until then. You can read about it in the Mirror.

Danny Blind has suggested that Memphis might not be succeeding at United because he is not at the heart of the side's attitude. It might be because he hasn't been passing to people in a red shirt, more realistically. That's in the Manchester Evening News.

The Telegraph has a blog on how the players Louis van Gaal left have fared. It's adequate content.

On ESPNFC, there's a story that United bid for Arda Turan before he joined Barcelona. So there we have it, players would much rather be subs than play regularly for United.

And for World Soccer Talk, I wrote about how Jose Mourinho might now be the better option for Manchester United.
